Here are a few pictures of the afternoon class as they sit and attend circle, practice writing their letters in the sand and play musical chairs on rainy days.

A Camping We Will Go...

As we concluded our theme of The Forest, we took our homemade binoculars, trail mix and backpacks up to the woods to look for forest animals.

Look What We Found! (PM Class)

While playing outside on the playground, we found a Praying Mantis! It was a neat learning experience for all us-- I have only seen one a few times in my life and for the kids, it was their first time to see one close up, so we trapped in and kept it as our class pet for a few weeks. While we had her, we were able to research to find out that: it is in fact a girl, she eats bugs and insects, she needs a moist environment in order to live, she can camaflouge herself to trick her prey and she has huge eyes that can turn in all directions.
